Introduction

WHO WE ARE

Save By Faith Children Foundation was founded in 2009 by Kevin Smith with a vision to create a better future for Chicago’s at-risk youth through sports and mentorship programs.

Our philosophy is centered on the thought that youth sports are not about only winning games or championships. It is our mission to use our programs to teach youth some of the skills necessary to be successful in life, such as good sportsmanship, loyalty, courage, honesty, integrity and self-belief. It is our overarching goal to foster personal excellence in athletics and in life. We are founded on principles of truth and dedicated to helping each person reach his or her individual potential by encouraging a belief in personal responsibility, instilling habits of hard work, and demonstrating passionate commitment to excellence. We teach the value of knowledge and character.

Recognizing the needs that exist in our community, Save By Faith Children Foundation provides a competitive sports leagues for youth ages 13 through 18 with supplemental mentoring and educational/career-focused programs as well.  The organization’s goals are accomplished by implementation of stimulating activities and materials that are organized around a well-developed prospectus. Ongoing evaluation assures progress and cost-effectiveness.
